Jammu: Advisor to
Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today paid a surprise visit to Super
Speciality Hospital to inspect the protocol adopted for conduct of OPDs and
other health related services there in view of ongoing pandemic COVID-19.
During the visit, the Advisor
took detailed round of the hospital, interacted with the staff and patients
there. He enquired about the management of patients and directed the concerned
officers to follow all safety measures while providing the whole spectrum of
medical services. He also directed the concerned officials to provide all
necessary safety equipments to frontline health workers there.
Deputy Medical Superintendent
of the hospital briefed the Advisor about the health care facilities being
provided by them during the pandemic COVID-19. The Advisor lauded the salutary
work being done by the doctors and staff.
Advisor Bhatnagar later
visited Emergency section, dialysis centre and other sections of the hospital.
He also inspected the site of Blood Bank and directed the concerned officials
for starting the Blood Bank services in due time.
The Advisor was also briefed
about other services of the hospital like cardiology and other critical care.
He interacted with staff on duty and asked the concerned authorities to ensure
proper care and hygiene besides following mandatory SOP’s while dealing with
the patients in critical care. He appreciated the hospital staff for their
services and directed them to keep in mind mandatory precautions in view of
COVID-19 while providing services to the public.
The Advisor impressed upon the
officials to create patient friendly atmosphere in the hospital for effective
delivery of best possible medical treatment to the patients.
