Bandipora: District
Developmental Commissioner Bandipora Ravinder Kumar Thursday inspected several
locations of main market Bandipora in order to take review of the latest
implementation of various COVID-19 related advisories and guidelines.
On the occasion, DDC directed
to open the market side by side from tomorrow and stressed on service providers
to follow all the guidelines and precautions in view of the pandemic. He
directed that all service providers shall follow SoP’s including
1. Use of mask
2. Use of large size counter sanitizer
3. Maintaining contact register with name and
contact number of customers
4. Display of service provider’s negative
result of covid
5. Display of training certificate issued in
favour of service provider.
Meanwhile, DC Bandipora said
that district administration has conducted intensive awareness campaigning
across district and general public including service providers were informed
about Do’s and Don’ts’s about pandemic.
DC Bandipora directed
Tehsildar Bandipora and SHO Bandipora to monitor adherence to SOPs by service
providers. He said that any violation shall invite strict action and
shopkeepers violating any norm will be imposed with a fine and shop sealed.
According to the orders issued
by DC Bandipora on May 25, the business establishments have been classified in
two categories –Essential-I and Essential-II. He said all the Essential-I
category shops including medical shops,
bakery, milk, vegetable, fruit, meat and
poultry shops shall remain open daily from 9am to 5pm while the Essential-II
shops shall remain open on alternate days to avoid rush in the market. All the
shops shall remain closed on Sunday.
Tea stalls, eateries,
restaurants shall operate kitchens only for home delivery of food items while
barber and saloons shall continue to remain closed.
DDC urged the officers of the
bank to increase counters in the banks to avoid rush of people outside banks
and also urged the people to strictly follow social distancing.
The DDC expressed gratitude of
the people for cooperating with the administration in observing lockdown and
the other guidelines, he said, it was because of the support of the people that
Bandipora till date has been able to successfully fight the corona virus
pandemic.
