Lucknow: On the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to further improve the law and order situations and to effectively control crimes in Uttar Pradesh, efforts have been started by the Home department.
An action plan is being prepared for this, in which short-term, medium-term and long-term goals will be set.
According to an official communique, a high-level meeting was held at the Command Centre here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Kumar Awasthi, in which the senior officials of the Home department deliberated in this regard and had a preliminary brainstorming session.
The proposed scheme is being considered for implementation in three phases. For this, it has been proposed to fix short-term goals of one to two years, medium-term goals for two to five years and long-term goals of more than five years. On this basis, the police department and its various units and the police at the district level will be made strong and effective in a planned manner.
In the meeting, after discussing the initial proposal prepared by the Police department, discussions were held on various points like budget plan etc for making it more rational and practical.
For the strengthening of law and order, the control command centre will be equipped with more robust and state-of-the-art resources. Social media cells will be made more effective. Similar action is being planned to be taken at district level also. (Agenices)
