KATHUA: Kathua Police while continuing its "War on Drugs" putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace from the society and in consequence District Police Kathua today recovered approx. 07 grams of Heroin like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of PS Kathua near Housing Colony Kathua and one person was arrested in this connection.
On the overall directions of SSP Kathua, Sh. R.C Kotwal -JKPS, on 11.04.2022 a police team of PS Kathua led by PSI Fidda Hussain under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh. Shammi Kumar -JKPS during patrolling duty near Camp Housing Colony Kathua noticed the movement of one suspicious person namely Ravi Kumar @ laadi S/o Shashi Kumar R/o Chak Drab Khan Kathua who was enrouted from Chak Drab Khan towards Housing Colony Kathua by foot was directed to stop for checking.On Physical search, approximately 07 grams of heroin(chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. Meanwhile all the recovered narcotics substance was seized and 01 person was arrested.On this ,a case vide FIR No. 133/2022 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation was set into probe.
