JAMMU: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) shall be playing against SSB in women’s final of the ongoing 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship, hosted by J&K Police under the aegis of All India Sports Control Board (AIPSCB) at K K Hakhu Stadium, here tomorrow.
He final is scheduled at 9.30 am. Earlier, in the semifinals, decided today, CRPF defeated Tamil Nadu 4-0. Etiwari Mundu named player of the match and the award presented by Nisha Nathyal, DIG HQ PHQ J&K. In other semifinal of the day, SSB trounced Odisha Police 2-0. Albina Tirkey emerged player of the match, presented by Deepika, S P SIA Jammu.
In the women’s hardliner, slated for tomorrow, Tamil Nadu Police shall take on Odisha Police at 3.30 pm.
In the meantime, the organising committee has scheduled men’s semifinals tomorrow. The first semifinal between CISF and Punjab Police shall be played at 11.30 am, followed by the BSF and CRPF other semifinal at 1.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the organising secretary, ADGP Armed, Vijay Kumar convened a meeting of the senior officers in connection with the valedictory function of the championship on February eight.
Pertinent to mention here that Lieutenant Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha has consented to be the chief guest in the closing function.
