Jammu: The quarterfinals and semifinals positions cleared on the second day of the ongoing TS7 Lawn Tennis Championship underway at Maulana Azad Stadium here.
General Secretary (Hony), Jammu and Kashmir Lawn Tennis Association, B S Jaggi on Tuesday said that well contested matches were witnessed on the second day of the championship.
Sharing the results, the General Secretary said that in the pre-quarter’s boy’s category, Hardeep Singh Soodan beat Aryan Singh (8-0), Dixit beat Mohammad Qais Sofi (8-3), Aahan Bhat beat Manas Nasra (8-2), Abhyam Verma beat Vivek Mehta (8-4), Vinamr Gupta beat Digvijay Bareja (8-5), Abhirath Thappa beat Usman Bhat (8-5), Aryan Razdan beat Anahad Dogra (8-0) and Ranveer Choudhary beat Armaan Dua (8-6).
Meanwhile in girl’s quarter’s category, Devinaa Rawlley beat Japman Sarin (8-2), Erin Mir beat Akansha Singh (8-1)
Yagyavee Kunjan beat Sumati Mehta (8-1) and Anandita Gurung beat Rudhi Kashap (8-6).
Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul on Monday declared open the championship.
The matches are being supervised by the officials of All India Tennis Association (AITA) and supervised by the vice president JKLTA, Hanumant Singh.
The Championship is being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Lawn Tennis Association (JKLTA) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the aegis of All India Tennis Association (AITA).
