Rajouri: A social
activist from Jawahar Nagar area of Rajouri district, Vishal Sawhney, owner of
Vishal Furnishing has extended a helping hand to the district administration in
the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic by providing personal health care
items including PPE kits, 10000 gloves,
5000 masks, 40 N95 masks, infrared thermometers, caps ,shoe covers and
sanitizers to the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri for further distribution among
the frontline workers deployed at quarantine centres and newly set up COVID19
check post.
Additional Deputy
Commissioner, Sher Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Sanjeev Puri, President MC
Rajouri, Arief Jatt and Vice President MC Rajouri, Bharat Bhushan were present
on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner
appreciated the efforts of social activist and said that such activities will
encourage general public as well as other social workers to contribute towards
fighting against virus. He said that these small but fruitful contributions
ease the efforts of the district administration to fight against the pandemic
and there is a dire need of such contributions from the society to ensure the
effective management of COVID19 in the district for the larger public interest.
Deputy Commissioner lauded the
efforts of social organisations for helping district administration during
pandemic.
