Kathua: District
Development Commissioner O.P Bhagat,
today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the inmates at
Quarantine Centres .
The DDC impressed upon the
Nodal Officers to ensure proper safety and security of the inmates in line with
latest Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) issued by the government. He
directed them to immediately shift the sick inmates, if any to the nearest
Community Health Centre (CHC) or GMC Kathua for proper medical care.
He also directed Nodal
Officers to immediately discharge the inmates who completed their quarantine
time with negative Covid-19 results. The nodal officers were asked to make sure
that re-sampling of all those inmates who tested negative for Covid-19 was done
before being sent for home quarantine, added DDC.
To maintain good hygiene and
cleanliness, the DDC directed to ensure changing of bed sheets, disposal of
garbage and cleanliness of wash rooms on a daily basis. He also directed Nodal Officers
to regularly check the quality of food being given to the inmates.
The DDC passed directions to
the nodal officers to ensure availability of administrative staff in quarantine
centres round the clock. He directed officers to pass directions to the deputed
staff to inform all the development to the administration in real time.
The DDC informed that the Boys
and Girls hostel of GDC Kathua have been earmarked for women and inmates with
families for which Tehsildar Nagri Parole Suninderjeet Kaur has been designated
as Nodal Officer to ensure their
welfare.

Majeed Mahboob; CMO Kathua, Dr Ashok Chaudhary; Medical Superintendent. Chitra
Vaishnavi; Tehsildar Kathua, Kapil Kant Khajuria and other officers of district
administration attended the meeting.
