Two accused arrested
Jammu: Acting tough against the bovine smugglers and to curb the bovine smuggling menace, Jammu Police has rescued 31 bovine animals i.e 27 bovine animals at Suketar Jhajjar Kotli naka where bovines were rescued from 07(seven) different vehicles bearing Registration Nos. JK02CS/8051,JK02CR/6093,JK02CK/0452,JK02CP/2486,JK03H/1502,JK02CH/7592 and JK14D/9054 and at Ban Toll Plaza Nagrota naka where 04 bovine animals were rescued from Mahindra Balero bearing Registration no. JK 21H/1983 respectively.
In this regard, cognizance taken by PS Jhajjar Kotli and Case FIR No. 64/2022 U/S 188/IPC 11 Act got registered at PS Nagrota respectively. Also two accused namely Ghulam Murtza S/o Riaz Ahmed R/o Asrarabad Sidhra District Jammu and Anzir Ali S/O Bashir Ahmed Kasana R/o Kukar Nag District Anantnag A/P Tanda Nagrota District Jammu have been arrested by PS Nagrota.
The arrests and recoveries were made by SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Devinder Singh and PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Pratap Singh in their respective jurisdictions, under the overall supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace. District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause.
