SSP Doda, Sh. Abdul Qayoom said that on the written complaint of one Mohit Sharma who is a representative and employee of TATA Company, to the effect that some person/firms are illegally selling spurious salt on the name of TATA Company by way of copying their print as well logo and brand name.
Upon this complaint, case FIR No. 17/2022 U/s 420,481,483,486,120-B IPC and section 63 copy right act was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started. During course of investigation, a Police team of P/S Bhaderwah raided one shop, running on the name of Malik Enterprises wherefrom the Police team seized approximately 20 quintal of spurious salt in the presence of Magistrate and the Godown has also been sealed. One person namely Mehraj Malik S/O Gh. Hassan Malik R/O Udrana Bhaderwah has been arrested and further investigation of the case is going on.
The Police team of P/S Bhaderwah comprising of SHO P/S Bhaderwah Insp. Jatinder Singh and others under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Sh. Abdul Gafoor Malik is conducting investigation of the case under the overall supervision of SSP Doda.
