REASI, Sept 01: Zone Pouni girls made their domination felt winning most of the events in the inter-zone (under-19) sports meet of district Reasi held in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Chess at General Zorawar Singh Stadium and Indoor Sports Complex, here today.
The competition was organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) as part of their annual calendar of activities. In total, over 130 girls drawn from Zone Chassana, Zone Mahore, Zone Arnas, Zone Pouni and zone Reasi participated in this event.
District (DYSS) officer Reasi, Tarsem Singh was special guest while Ram Krishan Bhat (ZPEO) Reasi and Ashok Kumar and Tour Kumar were among other prominent present.
The Results: Kho Kho U-19: Zone Pouni beat Zone Reasi. Kabaddi: Zone Pouni beat Zone Chassana. Volleyball: Zone Pouni beat Zone Arnas 3-2. Badminton Doubles: Bandhu Sharma and Radhu Devi (Pouni) beat Madhu Devi and Sonia (Reasi). Badminton Singles: Akriti Sharma (Reasi) beat Sonia (Pouni). Rope Skipping: Manisha Devi (Pouni) Ist, Priya Sharma (Pouni) 2nd and Naseem Begum (Pouni) 3rd. Chess: Sanjana Bharti (Pouni), Ist; Anshika (Pouni), 2nd; Akshita Sharma (Reasi), 3rd. Yoga: Shawali Devi (Pouni) Ist,
Sonia Devi (Reasi) 2nd, Sunita Devi (Reasi). Tug of War: Zone Pouni beat Zone Reasi.
