Poonch:- Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter Counter Insurgency Force (ROMEO) has organised Paratrooper Sanjog Chhetri Under-21, Cricket Tournament for the locals, youths and students from 08 to 17 Jan 2024.
In the spirit of the empowering Youth and keeping them away from drugs, this tournament was organised at Surankote to remember our heroes who done ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
The tournament has aided and provided the students and youths of far flung areas of Tehsil Surankote a platform to showcase their ability, talents and has boosted their morale. A total of 28 teams participated in this mega event and affecting over 500 youths.
This event saw lots of appreciation and respect for INDIAN ARMY for organising such events so that youths stay away from drugs, boost their confidence and providing an opportunity to the youth to choose sports as their career.
The Winner and Runners Up teams were awarded with trophies and cash prize of ₹15,000/- and ₹10,000/- respectively. Numerous individual prizes and awards were given to all players and officials.
