JAMMU: Soham Kamotra of J&K has achieved 3rd and final International Master (IM) Norm in Bhuvneshwar in the ongoing Orissa International Grand Master Chess event.
Sohan thus finished fifth in the mega event and awarded Rs 80,000 cash prize. Now, young Soham needs only 20 more rating points to achieve the ultimate target of 2400 rating to get International Master (IM) title.
Meanwhile, working president of All J&K Chess Association (AJKCA), Atul Kumar Gupta complimented Soham for his consistent efforts and hardwork in achieving the ultimate target of IM title.
President of AJKCA, Baldev Raj and secretary general, Arshid Ahmed also extended congratulatory messages to Soham for the achievement.
